History

The Italian fashion label Roberto Collina has been in the fashion industry for more than six decades. The label was founded in 1953 in Crevalvore. Roberto Collina's parents named the label after their son. In the beginning, the couple only had a small workshop where the high-quality knitwear such as Roberto Collina cardigans, pullovers, hoodies, turtlenecks and trousers were made.

Roberto Collina makes prêt-à-porter history

Due to the rapid success of the company, the goods were distributed in Italy as well as in Northern Europe. In particular, Roberto Collina's jumpers, for which the label became famous, made prêt-à-porter history in Italy. Both the wearers and the retailers were enthusiastic about the quality, the design and the poetic details of the brand.

Cooperation with Roman fashion school

Roberto Collina set up a special collaboration with the Accademia di Costume e Moda in Rome to counteract the lack of good professionals in the knitwear fashion industry. Master's students can take the Creative Knitwear Design course at the university, in which the tradition of knitwear craftsmanship is consciously trained and thus maintained.
