II. Purposes and legal basis

During the use of our website, we collect and process technically provided data or data that you submit in your inputs and by using our website. This processing enables us to provide you with the content and functions of our website, for your registration and/or your use of our online store where you can purchase our goods and services, to send you our newsletter or other notifications for attractive offers and special promotions, and to better understand your interests and needs so that we can continue to provide you with goods and services that are always suitable and better every day.

By using our website, we only process data that is necessary or appropriate for the fulfillment of the above purposes, to facilitate all functions and to ensure a safe use of our website.

Each time a user accesses our website, data and information about the respective user are processed automatically in order to ensure technical delivery of the content and functionality of our website. The processing is carried out for the fulfilment and initiation of a contract as well as on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing a functional and user-friendly website. In addition, the processing is carried out in order to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber-attack. The legal basis of the processing is art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. b), f) GDPR). In this context, we process in particular:

  • browser type, incl. version of the browser,
  • information about the language settings of your browser as well as country settings,

  • date and time of access,
  • websites from which your system accesses our website and
  • websites that are accessed by your system via our website.

The data will be processed and, in particular, stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the aforementioned purpose. Insofar as data is required for the provision of the website, the necessity ends when the respective session has ended. The data will then be deleted. In case of storage of data in log files, the data is usually deleted after fourteen days at the latest. If we further store or save the aforementioned data, your IP address will be deleted or alienated, so that it is no longer possible to retrace an individual connection. The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website.

The aforementioned personal data is generally stored/saved for a maximum period of thirty days. Thereafter, the data will be anonymised or deleted, except of data that (i) is still required for the investigation or prosecution of cyber-attacks or (ii) must be stored/saved in accordance to legal or statutory documentation obligations. Data submitted by you via the contact form and other forms will be stored for a period of ten years and delete thereafter to fulfil our storage obligations.

The security of your data and your customer satisfaction is very important to us. We will therefore not sell your data or pass it on to third parties for other purposes. Thereby, data may either be sent from us to PayPal to carry out the payment process or from PayPal to us if you use the "Direct to PayPal" function to place orders with us even without a customer account. In the latter case, PayPal transmits to us all data necessary for the processing. VI. Newsletter

After registering for our newsletter, you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration (so-called double opt-in). This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with other people's e-mail addresses. The registrations for the newsletter are logged to comply with the legal requirements to document the registration process. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time and the IP address used by the user. If you have registered a customer account at the same time, we can also use your data to adapt our newsletter content to your interests so that we can send you interesting content that is suitable for you.

The legal basis for the processing within the scope of the newsletter is your voluntary consent, art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a) GDPR. You can easily revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future and unsubscribe from our newsletter. For this purpose, we send a link to unsubscribe in each newsletter. In addition, you can revoke your consent at any time via the aforementioned contact details. As far as the processing of the data is also necessary to deliver the ordered newsletter or to fulfil our legal obligations, the processing is also based on art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. b), c), f) GDPR.

We use the services of CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede ("CleverReach") for the administration and distribution of our newsletter. This services enables us to organise and analyse the newsletter dispatched. We store the data transmitted by you for the purpose of the newsletter on CleverReach’s servers in the EU (currently Germany and Ireland). The functions in the newsletter allow us to analyse, among other things, how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. By so-called conversion tracking, we can also analyse whether a predefined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. The data processing is based on your consent, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence lit. a DSGVO.

If you do not agree with the processing by CleverReach, you can revoke your consent at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected. Further information on data processing by CleverReach can be found at: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/funktionen/reporting-und-tracking/.

Your data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the intended purpose, especially if you unsubscribe from our newsletter. If the data is required for the fulfilment of a contract or for the initiation of a contract, a deletion can only take place if it does not violate other contractual or legal obligations. We would like to point out that in some cases we have to store data even after termination of the contract (e.g. due to tax and commercial law retention obligations). The storage periods that apply here are determined individually for the respective contracts and contractual parties.

VII. Contact form

On our website you can also contact us via a contact form. This form offers you an easy way to contact us, so you can communicate with us and send us your questions and suggestions.

The data you provide in the contact form will be processed by our employees in order to handle your request. A transfer to other recipients will only take place if it is necessary to answer your request.

We process this data for the initiation and fulfilment of a contract (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. b) GDPR). We also pursue the legitimate interest of processing your requests efficiently and user-friendly. In addition, we are obliged to store data due to commercial and tax regulations (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. c) GDPR).

A transfer to third countries outside the European Economic Area is not intended, unless this is necessary for the fulfilment of your request. We delete the data as soon as we are no longer obliged to store it due to commercial and tax regulations.

The use of the contact form is voluntary. You are also welcome to contact us in the other ways mentioned in this Privacy Policy.

VIII. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via an internet browser.

Numerous websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is an unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters by which website and servers can identify a specific internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited internet pages and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific internet browser can be recognized and identified via the unique cookie ID.

When using cookies, it is necessary to differentiate whether they are technical cookies, which are necessary for the functions of our website, or analytical cookies, which are used to better understand the user behaviour and user wishes, so that we can always respond to your wishes to provide you with a user-friendly, secure and smoothly working website in the future.

We only use analytical cookies if you have given your consent voluntarily beforehand, in particular by confirming it in the cookie consent banner. The granting of this consent is voluntary and is not necessary to access our website. If you have given consent, the processing by and in connection with cookies is based on this consent (art. 6 para. 1 s 1 lit. a) GDPR). You can freely revoke the consent at any time using the contact details provided in this Privacy Policy.

The use of technical cookies serves our legitimate interest in ensuring the functionality and security of our website (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. f) GDPR).

Personal data from cookies will not be transferred to third parties unless otherwise indicated in this Privacy Policy.

You can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time via your internet browser settings and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via your internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all common internet browsers. If you deactivate the setting of cookies in the internet browser, however, not all functions of our website may be fully usable.

A transfer to third countries outside the European Economic Area is not intended (with the exception of cookies from Google Analytics or insofar as we inform about this separately in this Privacy Policy).

Specifically, we use the following cookies for the purposes stated in each case with the expiration dates stated in each case:

IX. Google components

We use components and services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") on this website. The transfer of data to Google may result in processing of data by Google in the USA. In order to ensure an appropriate level of data protection for data processing by Google, we conclude appropriate contractual agreements with Google. For more information and a copy of the guarantees used, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy linked below.

1. Google Analytics

We have integrated the Google Analytics component on this website (with anonymization function). Google Analytics is a web analysis service. Web analysis is the collection, compilation and evaluation of data about the user behaviour on websites. The web analysis service collects personal data about the behaviour of the users of the website, e.g. from which website a user came to a website (so-called referrer), which subpages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed.

We use the add-on "_gat._anonymizeIp" for web analysis via Google Analytics. By means of this addition, the IP address of your internet connection is shortened and anonymised by Google when accessing our internet pages from the European Economic Area. Based on your consent, we also use the function to analyse demographic characteristics and interests, with which the users are broken down into age categories, genders, affinity categories, willingness to buy as well as acquisitions, behaviour and conversions. We cannot assign this data to individual users, but only receive an aggregated report from Google.

The Google Analytics component is used on the basis of your voluntary consent, which enables us to analyse the flow of visitors to our website (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a) GDPR). Google uses the data and information obtained on our behalf, among others, (i) to evaluate the use of the website, (ii) to compile reports for us on the activities on our websites and (iii) to provide other services related to the use of our website. We use these services to improve our offerings.

Google Analytics sets a cookie on your computer. The setting of the cookie enables us to analyse the use of our website. Each time you call up one of the individual pages of this website, the internet browser on your computer is automatically prompted by the respective Google Analytics component to transmit data to Google for the purpose of online analysis. As part of this technical procedure, Google processes personal data on our behalf, such as your IP address, which is used, among other things, to trace the origin of visitors and clicks.

By means of the cookie, personal information, for example the access time, the location from which an access originated, and the frequency of your visits to our website are stored. Each time you visit our website, this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection you are using, is transmitted to and stored by Google in the USA. Google may pass on this personal data collected via the technical procedure to third parties.

Google processes your data on our behalf on the basis of a contract for commissioned processing pursuant to art. 28 GDPR. Under this agreement, Google is entitled to engage subcontractors. You can find a list of these subcontractors at https://privacy.google.com/businesses/subprocessors/.

The user can prevent the setting of cookies by our website, explained above, at any time via its internet browser settings and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Such internet browser settings would also prevent Google from setting a cookie on your computer. In addition, a cookie already set by Google Analytics can be deleted at any time via your internet browser or other software programs.

Furthermore, you have the option to object to the collection of data generated by Google Analytics and related to the use of this website, as well as the processing of this data by Google, and to prevent such processing. To do this, you can download and install a browser add-on under the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This browser add-on tells Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data and information about visits to internet pages may be transmitted to Google Analytics. The installation of the browser add-on is considered by Google as an objection. However, if your computer is deleted, formatted or reinstalled at a later date, you will have to reinstall the browser add-on in order to deactivate Google Analytics. If the browser add-on is uninstalled or deactivated by you, you have the option of reinstalling or reactivating the browser add-on.

If you prevent the use of Google Analytics as described, this will not affect the usability of our website.

Google Analytics is explained in more detail under the link https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/.

We do not retain any personal data within the scope of Google Analytics, as the data reported to us is immediately anonymised at Google in any case.

We do not transfer personal data to other recipients.

2. Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager to manage our website tags via an interface. No cookies are used and no personal data is collected. However, the Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. Only in part Google can collect information about how the services used and which tags are implemented to improve, maintain and protect the services. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.

If and insofar as personal data is processed via the Google Tag Manager, this processing is based on your consent and our legitimate interest in the setting and efficient management of website tags (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a), f) of the GDPR). You can obtain the usage guidelines and further information about Google Tag Manager at http://www.google.de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

3. Google Maps

The Google Maps plug-in is integrated into this website. Google Maps is operated by Google.

Each time you call up the individual pages on which the Google Maps plug-in is integrated, the internet browser on your computer is automatically caused to transmit data to Google for the purpose of providing the Google Maps plug-in. As part of this technical procedure, Google obtains knowledge of personal data, such as your IP address, which is used, among other things, to track the origin of visitors and clicks. In detail, the IP address, device identification, browser characteristics, operating system details, language settings, referring URLs and geolocation data are transmitted to Google.

The use of the Google Maps component is based on your consent as well as on our legitimate interest in being able to provide you with an interactive map graphic with navigation function (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a), f) GDPR).

You can use suitable browser settings or plugins to prevent page elements such as Google Maps from being loaded automatically. If you use such settings or plugins, the map display of Google Maps will not be displayed at all or only after your explicit approval, depending on your settings; only then the above-mentioned data transmission to Google will take place.

4. Google Fonts

We have integrated external fonts from Google fonts on this website. Google Fonts is a service provided by Google. The integration of these fonts is done by a server request, usually to a Google server in the USA. Thereby, the information is transferred to the server which of our pages you have visited. Google also processes the IP address of the browser of your device.

The purpose of Google Fonts is our legitimate interest to present our website in the selected layout (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. f) GDPR).

You can also prevent an automatic connection at any time through your browser settings. You can still access our website, but without the Google Fonts.

We do not retain any personal data with Google Fonts. Personal data is not transferred to other recipients.

5. Google reCaptcha

We have integrated the Google reCaptcha security functions on our website. This is a Google service that can distinguish whether an entry is made by a natural person or by a machine / automated entry (especially by so-called bots).

With the service, your IP address and, if applicable, other information required for verification and automatically requested by Google will be transmitted to Google. This may also result in a transfer of data to the USA. The use of Google reCaptcha is based on our legitimate interests in the detection and prevention of spam and cyber attacks, Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.

6. YouTube

We have integrated YouTube components on this website. YouTube is an internet video portal that allows video publishers to post video clips free of charge and other users to view, rate and comment on them. YouTube allows the publication of all types of videos, which is why complete film and TV shows, but also music videos, trailers or videos made by users themselves can be accessed via the internet portal. The purpose of the integration is our legitimate interest in being able to present videos to you on our website (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. f) GDPR). If cookies are set or data is transmitted to YouTube during use, this is done on the basis of your consent (art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. a) GDPR).

The operating company of YouTube is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (here: "YouTube"). YouTube is a subsidiary of Google. If and to the extent that data is processed in the USA with the use of YouTube services, we ensure an appropriate level of data protection through corresponding appropriate contractual agreements with Google.

Each time you call up an individual page on which a YouTube component (YouTube player) has been integrated, the Internet browser on your computer is automatically caused to download a representation of the corresponding YouTube component from YouTube. Further information on YouTube can be found at https://www.youtube.com/yt/about/de/. As part of this technical procedure, YouTube and Google obtain knowledge of which IP address you are using and which video you have played (if you have played one).

If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, YouTube recognizes which IP address you are using and which video you have played (if you have played one) when you call up a sub-page that contains a YouTube video. This information is collected by YouTube and Google and assigned to your respective YouTube account.

YouTube and Google always receive information via the YouTube component that you have visited our website if you are logged into YouTube at the same time as calling up our website; this takes place regardless of whether you click on a YouTube video or not. If you do not want this information to be transmitted to YouTube and Google, you can prevent this transmission by logging out of your YouTube account before accessing our website.

The Privacy Policy published by YouTube, which is available at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/, provides information about the collection, processing and use of personal data by YouTube and Google.

We do not retain any personal data within YouTube.

Personal data is not transferred to other recipients within the framework of YouTube.

7. Privacy policy of Google

Further information and the applicable Google Privacy Policy can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html.

X. Hosting and content delivery

1. Hosting provider

Our website is hosted on the servers of Profihost AG, Expo Plaza 1, 30539 Hannover ("Profihost"). Therefore, it is technically necessary that a use of our website results in a transfer of data to Profihost. However, Profihost only acts on our behalf as an data processor. Only servers located within the European Union or the European Economic Area are used for our website and the associated data processing. The use of Profihost as a processor is based on our legitimate interest in the use of a hosting provider, Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

2. Cloudfare

We use the services of Cloudfare Inc, 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Cloudfare") to ensure a quick and secure delivery of our website. Cloudfare is a so-called Content Delivery Network (CDN). Thus, our website is not only delivered through our hosting provider, but also via a large number of Cloudfare servers in order to optimise the data flows. This means that it is not required to access our hosting provider each time, but rather the nearest (and available) Cloudfare server.

Cloudfare also processes data to protect our website and Cloudfare’s servers from unauthorised access and cyber attacks. In particular, the IP address, contact and log data, digital fingerprint and performance and log information are processed. The data is also processed by Cloudfare in the USA and usually stored for less than 24 hours. The data is only retained if Cloudfare has detected possible misuse.

In order to provide the services, Cloudfare sets a cookie itself (name: "__cfduid") to identify individual users behind a shared IP address and to assign security checks to individual users. The cookie is stored for a period of one year.

The use of Cloudfare is based on your consent and on our legitimate interests in the use of a CDN to optimise our website, to improve user experience and to protect us from unauthorised access and cyber attacks, art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a), f) GDPR.

For more information about the processing by Cloudfare please consider Cloudfare’s privacy policy at https://www.cloudfare.com/application/privacypolicy/.

XI. Social media plugins

On some pages of our website, we integrate buttons of the social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Vimeo), with which you can recommend our offers to your friends and contacts. In order for you to have control over whether the functions of the social media platforms are used and whether data is transmitted to the social media platforms, the buttons are inactive by default and must first be activated by a click in order to use them (two-click solution).

If data is transmitted to a platform provider based in the USA when using the social media plugins, the data may be processed in the USA. In this case, we protect the data by requiring suitable guarantees from the providers. For more information about the guarantees used in each case please refer to the privacy statements of the respective social media platform listed below.

By activating the social media plugin, you give your consent for the following data, among others, to be transmitted to the social media platforms: IP address, browser information, operating system, screen settings, installed browser plug-ins such as Adobe Flash Player, previous web page if you followed a link (referrer), the URL of the current web page, etc.

At the next time visiting the website, the social media plugins will be provided again in the pre-set inactive mode, so that when you visit the website again, it is ensured that no data is transmitted. If you are not a member of a social media platform, there is still the possibility that the social media platforms receive and store your IP address and information about the browser and operating system you use after activating the social plugins. For the scope and purpose of the data collection as well as the processing and use of the data by the social networks and information about rights and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to the privacy notices of the respective social media platform.

Further information on social media plugins can be found here: https://www.sicherdigital.de/sicher-surfen#aufpassen-beim-like-button and here: http://heise.de/-2467514.

1. Facebook

The social media platform Facebook and its plugins are operated by Facebook Inc., located at 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025, USA, ("Facebook"). When you activate the Facebook plugin, a connection is established to Facebook's servers, thereby transmitting to them the actual page. If you have an account with Facebook and are logged, Facebook could assign this view directly to your profile. You can prevent this connection by logging out of your account before using this function.

We would like to point out that we, as the operator of this website, do not have any detailed knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by the social media platform. The decision as to whether you wish to activate and use the plugin is therefore solely yours. If you have any questions, please therefore contact the operator of the social media platform directly. More information on the collection and use of your data by Facebook is available at https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

In addition, if you have given your consent to the use, we also use Facebook Custom Audience and the Facebook Pixel to optimize our advertising offering. You can find more information about these Facebook services under the link https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. If you use a Facebook user account, this is recognizable for the Facebook pixel on our websites by the Facebook cookie set, via which the collected usage data is transmitted to Facebook for analysis and marketing purposes. You can check and/or deactivate this data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook directly at Facebook.

The Facebook Pixel is a JavaScript code that transmits the following data to Facebook:

  • HTTP header information (including IP address, web browser information, page location, document, web page URL and web browser user agent, and day and time of use).
  • Pixel-specific data; this includes the pixel ID and Facebook cookie data, including your Facebook ID (this data is used to link events to a specific Facebook ad account and associate them with a Facebook user).
  • Additional information about the visit to our websites, as well as standard and custom data events.
  • Orders placed (purchase transactions)
  • Conclusion of registrations and trial subscriptions
  • Searched products, call of product information

The aforementioned data processing only concerns users who have an account with Facebook or who have accessed a Facebook partner page (whereby a cookie has been set). The display of advertising on Facebook (partner) pages using the "Custom Audience" service does not affect users who are not members of Facebook. If an assignment of the Facebook ID contained in the Facebook cookie to a Facebook user can be made, Facebook assigns this user to a target group ("Custom Audience") on the basis of the rules defined by us, provided that the rules are relevant. We use the information obtained in this way to present Telekom advertising on Facebook (partner) pages.

If you wish to object to the use of the Facebook pixel, you can set an opt-out cookie with Facebook or deactivate JavaScript in your browser. For more information and the settings options for protecting your privacy for advertising purposes, please refer to Facebook's Privacy Policy, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/ads/website_custom_audiences/, among other places.

2. Instagram

The social media platform Instagram and its plugins are operated by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA, ("Instagram"). When you activate the Instagram plugin, a connection is established to the servers of Instagram and thus transmitted to them the current page. If you are logged in to your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to assign your visit to our pages to your user account. You can prevent this connection by logging out of your account before visiting this website.

We would like to point out that we, as the operator of this website, do not have any detailed knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by the social media platform. The decision as to whether you wish to activate and use the plugin is therefore solely yours. If you have any questions, please contact the operator of the social media platform directly. For more information, please refer to the Privacy Policy of Instagram: http://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

3. Vimeo

The video and social media platform Vimeo and its plugins are operated by Vimeo LLC, located at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA, ("Vimeo"). When you activate the Vimeo plugin, a connection is established to the servers of Vimeo, thereby transmitting to them the current page.
