He was fascinated by the form and function of the oversized boots worn by astronauts in zero gravity. These bulky, almost surreal space boots, designed for an extraterrestrial environment, became his ultimate inspiration. He saw not just a technical protective suit, but a sculptural form, an aesthetic of the future.
