The creation of a sustainable brand

Behind Amambaih is designer Mariela Schwarz Montiel, whose Paraguayan roots play a crucial role in her creative vision. In her search for her heritage, she discovered the indigenous communities of Paraguay, particularly the Maká. Many of these people are forced to leave their homes due to economic and health challenges. Inspired by their impressive craftsmanship, Montiel decided to create a brand that offers them economic opportunities while preserving their cultural heritage.

Craftsmanship as the heart of the brand

The unique fabrics, handwoven by the women of the Maká community, are the hallmark of the Amambaih collections. Their intricate weaving combines vibrant colors with complex techniques, giving each piece a distinctive identity.
