Friendly Hunting – Luxury fashion with soul, meaning and style

Friendly Hunting is a German luxury label based in Chiemgau, Bavaria. Since its founding in 2005, it has stood for a unique blend of responsible fashion, traditional craftsmanship, and spiritually inspired aesthetics. Founder Christian Goldmann's vision was clear from the start: fashion for people with a positive outlook, crafted with respect for humanity, animals, and nature. The family-run business combines the finest natural materials, such as cashmere and silk, with fair production practices in Nepal and a distinctive style that radiates cultural diversity, depth, and lightness. The label appeals to those who understand aesthetics, sustainability, and social commitment as a unified whole and wish to express themselves through their clothing without succumbing to fleeting trends.

Inspiration & Style: When color, art and philosophy merge

Friendly Hunting's collections tell stories. Whether floral motifs, spiritual symbols like the "Tree of Life," oriental touches from Marrakech, or Buddhist-inspired mandalas: every design has its origins in culture, art, and nature. Typical of the brand are colorful, hand-printed designs, often screen-printed in small workshops in Nepal. The collections bear poetic names like "Garden Eden," "Eyes of Marrakech," "Monarch Butterfly," and "Flower of Life," reflecting a deep longing for beauty, harmony, and connection to the world. The designs combine lightness with depth: airy kaftans, flowing silk dresses, wide blouses, and luxurious scarves reflect a sense of inner and outer abundance. Cultural references are never presented in a folkloric way, but rather interpreted in a modern style. A special feature: many pieces are versatile and can be worn from resort vacations to everyday city life. This versatility particularly appeals to female customers who want to combine quality, functionality, and timeless elegance. Men can now also find their own collection – a sign that the label is growing without losing its soul.

Cashmere, silk and craftsmanship: Production with heart from Nepal

Friendly Hunting's connection to Nepal is not just logistical, but also deeply emotional. All collection pieces are lovingly handcrafted there – from spinning the cashmere wool and weaving the fabrics to printing, sewing, and finishing. In Kathmandu, experienced artisans work in small workshops with whom Friendly Hunting has cultivated close partnerships over many years. Production adheres to principles of fairness and respect. Many employees come from traditional weaving families whose knowledge has been passed down through generations – and now lives on in the collections. Another core element of the brand is the social project "Amazing Namasté": an orphanage in Kathmandu initiated by Friendly Hunting that provides children in difficult circumstances with a new home, access to education, and loving care. The children receive long-term support – until they graduate from school or beyond. This commitment is not a PR tool, but deeply rooted in the company's philosophy. Christian Goldmann and his family regularly visit the orphanage in person, maintain contact with the caregivers, and ensure transparent processes. This is how fashion with real added value is created – not just economically, but also humanly.

Sustainability: Not a trend, but a lived conviction

For Friendly Hunting, sustainability means responsibility at every level. They exclusively use natural and environmentally friendly materials such as GOTS-certified cotton, silk from controlled sources, and cashmere that meets the Good Cashmere Standard. Recycled cashmere is also used to conserve resources. The company only produces what is needed – overproduction and price wars are consciously avoided. The durable quality makes the garments true investment pieces. Packaging consists of recycled or plastic-free materials, and the CO₂ footprint is actively reduced. Transparency is paramount: supply chains are traceable, partnerships are long-term, and standards are high. Since 2021, Friendly Hunting has been GOTS-certified, which is among the strictest standards for ecological and social responsibility worldwide. Despite this, the brand refrains from loudly promoting this certification. Christian Goldmann sees sustainability as a matter of course, not a selling point. Those who wear Friendly Hunting are choosing quality with a conscience – quietly, but effectively.

Stores, Fashion Week & Signature Pieces

Friendly Hunting showcases its collections at select events such as Paris Fashion Week and in showroom presentations in Düsseldorf and Munich. The focus is not on ostentatious runways, but rather on curated experiences that blend fashion, culture, and sensuality. The flagship stores in Munich, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf are more than just retail spaces—they are experiential venues featuring handcrafted interiors, sound installations, and art objects. Each store was designed by Christian Haas to translate the brand's philosophy spatially: organic, inviting, and comforting. Among the most recognizable signature pieces are the printed cashmere scarves, kimonos, and kaftans with prints like "Cheetah" or "Garden Eden," the iconic felted stoles, and scarves made from cashmere-silk blends. Accessories and lifestyle products such as porcelain (in collaboration with the Reichenbach manufactory), scented candles, silk rugs, and hand-embroidered dogwear further expand the range. The Maison line seamlessly integrates fashion and interior design. Particularly noteworthy: Some scarves and shawls are deliberately designed to be gender-neutral and conceived as collector's items.
