First works of art
The story of Le chocolat des Français begins with the ingenious idea of three friends: put an end to the boring rules of handmade chocolate and welcome to creative craftsmanship! The three heroes Matthieu, Paul and Vincent, graduates of an art school in Paris, share a common passion. And after their studies, they escape the run-of-the-mill professional life to devote themselves entirely to their favorite project: To immerse France's chocolate heritage in color! In November 2014, Le Chocolat des Français was invited to the 20th Salon du Chocolat in Paris - the perfect opportunity to present their first chocolate bars to the public and industry experts. The team decides to design the stand with the first 300 chocolate bars as an art exhibition, all artfully illustrated, natural and made in France with 100% cocoa butter. The launch is a roaring success: the little works of art attract the attention of concept stores, department stores and exquisite delicatessens, and Le Chocolat des Français is in the game!
Chocolate craftsmanship from France
In fact, France is not only known for baguettes and Eiffel Towers, but is also the European country of origin of chocolate. Le chocolat des Français was created to push French chocolate artisans, whose chocolate is considered unique with its authentic taste and exceptional flavors. In the search for this special know-how, the Le chocolat des Français crew is pursuing a two-pronged approach, encouraging talented artists to come up with humorous packaging ideas and teaming up with four chocolate masters who share their values: 100% made in France, tradition and respect for the people behind it. Together, they conjure up unique recipes that result in the ultimate indulgence. The ingredients come directly from cocoa farms in Ecuador and Peru, whose craftsmanship knows how to intensify the taste of the cocoa beans and does not skimp on the other ingredients either: salt from the Camargue, salt from Guérande and sugar from French sugar beet - all for the perfect chocolate mix, without palm oil or preservatives.
Multiple awards and organic certification
The product quality of Le chocolate des Francais has long since won various prestigious awards, and top chefs such as Thierry Marx and Pierre Augé are among its fans. And best of all: organic is not just a label here, but a reality and applies to every chocolate bar! But that's not all - the three founders now also rely on 100% French cocoa beans: they have been pushing growers in French Guyana for over six years. Here, the beans have a specific signature that is unique to the region and was highly valued in the 17th century, but has been forgotten in favor of less cost-intensive crops. The collaboration now makes it possible to produce the first chocolate bars with 100% French cocoa beans.
